Legend Springs Turkey Trot
The Legend Springs 9th Annual Turkey Trot will be held Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 9am. We will meet on the basketball courts. Be sure to bring a water bottle. All participants that bring a small toy for the toy drive for Phoenix Children‚s Hospital will receive a free raffle ticket for prizes.
2nd Quarter Book Report
Students will need to read a chapter book at home during the month of November for a book report/project. The book needs to have characters, a setting, and a beginning, middle, end format. As soon as all parts have been modeled in class, please get started on the book report form that was sent home on November 3rd. The diorama and report will be due December 1st.
Envisions Math Website
As mentioned in the last newsletter, the www.pearsonsuccessnet.com website is available as a math resource. A letter is came home in your child‚s homework folder with more details about the site, a user name, and password. I highly recommend checking out the „e tools‰ portion of the site for extra practice in concepts like money and fractions among other things.
Arizona Science Center Field Trip
3rd grade will be visiting the AZ Science Center on Friday, December 12th. The cost is $9 which pays for transportation and admission. Please send in your completed permission slip and money ASAP! I picked our 6 parent volunteers on Oct. 31st and sent home a slip notifiying each family who offered to go.
Box Tops
We are trying to earn a pizza party by May, and we need 1200 box tops to make it. We currently have fewer than 300. Keep saving those box tops!
